Robotics Club began this month, offering middle school students the opportunity to work together to design and build robots. Students plan to participate at the VEX Robotics Tournament in February, designing robots to match an assigned challenge. Challenges are introduced each year by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, an organization that sponsors tournaments throughout the world, and are built with kits from VEX Robotics. Kids must adapt their designs to each year’s challenge so their robots score the most points in competition against other teams.

Students plan to compete at the VEX Robotics Tournament in February in Tracy, and will spend the next several months developing and testing their robots. Good luck, CACS inventors, in your quest for the prize!
