Safe School Ambassadors Mentor Elementary Students

Our Safe School Ambassadors (SSA) started a series of mentoring sessions with K-5 students last week, asking their younger peers to define a Peaceful School. These middle school leaders attended three days of professional training from Community Matters to learn how to be positive role models, mentors and Peaceful School educators for our campus. They rehearsed their presentations, then visited with several classrooms, beginning a year-long focus on a positive school culture. Teams of middle school Ambassadors met with the kindergarten and second grade classes last week, and will continue their outreach to the entire elementary school.
