Kate has spent over 10 years working to improve public education. She began her career in education as a physics and biology teacher with an emphasis on project based learning. She has worked as a mentor and supervisor for student teachers as well as a school and teacher coach with an emphasis on helping schools implement practices towards closing their achievement gap. Kate holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard University with a focus in Teaching & Learning and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Bowdoin College. Kate has a daughter in 3rd grade and a son in kindergarten at Creative Arts Charter.
