Talking with Children About Race: Continuing the Conversation
The FA, CACS Board and CACS Administration invite you to this next meeting in our series on engaging with each other and our children/students about race.
Facilitators for this meeting are members of our own community including families and teachers.
Our community facilitators will support us to:
- Create a safe space to discuss issues of race and equity as a community
- Reflect on the core values of our community
- Have difficult conversations together
- Practice our skills to bring these rich conversations home to our children/students.
We invite ALL members of the CACS community to please join us! This gathering is open to all families, regardless of whether or not you were able to attend our workshop with Micia Mosley in September.
Our planning and facilitation team includes: LeShawn Holcomb (CACS Theater), Joanna Milligan (CACS Grades 4/5), Mizuho Shiomi (CACS Grades 2/3), Rashida Johnson (CACS Paraprofessional & Parent), Christopher Punongbayan (CACS parent) and Nathalie Nathalie-Andree Muzac Braden (CACS parent).
